About Thuy

Thuy Tran is a comprehensive pilates instructor, receiving her formal certification with Balanced Body after completing over 600 hours of rigorous study and training.

Her movement journey is rooted in dance. Thuy began studying ballet at the age of six and continued training and performing with renowned teachers including Nikoloz Makhateli, Muriel Maffre, and Robert Moses. She was introduced to classical pilates in her teens as a way to support her ballet training and has remained an avid student of pilates ever since.

In addition to her dance background, Thuy holds a B.A. in Economics with honors from Stanford University and has spent 10+ years in the tech industry working at some of Silicon Valley’s highest growth startups.

Thuy works with clients who want to move with ease and confidence, focusing on key areas such as injury prevention and recovery, balanced strength, posture, alignment, and control. Her teaching style blends precision with play and she designs challenging, yet thoughtful classes to help clients feel like the best version of themselves.
